Gobble Gobble !!

There are some really great Turkey Songs that are allowing me to teach the children elements of music such as high & low, the elements of a musical production, rhythm reading, note values, and basic musical expression. We Are singing Shoo Turkey, A Turkey Named Bert, Turkey Tango, and The Gobble Gobble Song!!
There are soo many things to be thankful for….. remember to pay it forward… spread kindess, love, a helping hand and a Gobble or two wouldn’t hurt either!!! Gobble!

Veteran’s Day

The will be a wonderful tribute to the Veteran’s related to the faculty, staff, & students here at Liberty Point Elementary School on November 11,2009.
The choir will pay respect to the sacrifices made by those who have served past and present with an incredible musical selection titled American Tears: I will always be an American and I’ll always cry American Tears! Please make sure you thank a vet on Wednesday, November 11, 2009!!!

Sound

The third grade is working on sound. Did you know that sound is simply vibrations? The higher the sound the faster the vibrations move. The lower the sound the slower the vibrations move. Unfortunately we can not see sound because it moves too fast!!

Dynamics

This week we will be working on Dynamics (how loud or soft music is being played). The musical word for loud is forte and piano is the musical word for soft. Help reinforce these musical words at home by asking your children which animals, automobiles, or activities are considered forte or piano.
